Catholic Schools Day

St Mary's from Papakura came to visit and help us celebrate National Catholic Schools Day.

St Mary’s Visit.
On Monday 16th May, St Mary’s School Papakura came to St Joseph’s school Pukekohe.
First my classroom got ready. As soon as we were all ready, we all started walking to church. We crossed two roads and a carpark.  I could see there were five buses there.
We walked into church and took our seats. Next Keziah welcomed St Mary’s school into the church. The big girls did a ballet dance. The dancers were beautiful.
Then my classroom left the church and went back to the classroom. After about ten minutes waiting, room 9 from St Mary's came into my class. After that we had lunch and a sausage sizzle. I got to meet three people from St Mary’s.  They were kind children.
Finally we went to the hall and we made an origami dove with Mr Surrey.  At the end of the day we all met again and said our end of the day prayer. The Principal of St Mary’s School said a prayer for us too. Then the school went back to their classroom and grabbed their bags and went home.
It was an outrageously great day, because I got to make new friends and share fun activities with them.
